The Junior Inter-Regional Regatta (JIRR) took place at the National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham, over a 1,500m course.
Winners of the regional JIRR trials raced side by side, with a stake boat start. The twelve teams are based on the British Rowing Regions, which included :
North West, East Midlands, Eastern, Northern, Thames London, Thames south East, Thames Upriver, Wags and Wales, West Midlands, West, Wessex and Yorkshire.
We were one of the representatives of the North West region.
Racing commenced at 9.30am, with the crews first taking part in the heats. The fastest six crews progressed to the A final and the rest raced in the B final in the afternoon.
Our crews put in an outstanding performance. Competing against may of the top clubs in the country again.
Our J14 double crew gave a very strong performance and came 1st in their category.
