The Oarsports Junior Sculling Head is a yearly event that takes place at Eton College Rowing Centre, on the prestigous Olympic lake at Eton Dorney. It comprises of two 1.8km pieces, one up and one down the lake.

Trentham Boat club entered three crews.  Two J16 quads (one boat in the A category  and one boat in the B category) and a WJ16 quad.

Our crews put in an outstanding performance. Competing against may of the top clubs in the country. 

Our J16 quad (A) crew came 2nd  out of 51 boats and  took home the silver medal, missing the gold by 0.5 seconds!

This was the J16 quad (B) crews first time rowing together. They made a promising performance and came 6th in the B category and 33rd out of 51 J16 4x- boats.

Our WJ16 quad came 5th out of 51 boats. This was also a very strong performance as it was the girls first time rowing together this season.

Well done to all the crews competing.

J16 quad (A) – Tom Softly, Jack Wright, James Dutton and Angus Nugent – PLACED 2nd

J16 quad (B) – Joe Bakewell, Oliver Main, Harry Bradbury and N Nayiager – PLACED 33rd AND  6th IN B CATEGORY

WJ16 quad – Gabriella Phagurey, Francesca Butters, Ava Fenton and Megan Davies – PLACED 5th
